What a week it has been for domainers!
The world’s cheapest domain name was sold on Friday, following intense negotiations between the buyer and seller, both members of NamePros.
Domainer Zoric Francic, from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) managed to sell his domain name sbrtdingz.net for 0.5 dinar, or about 1 US cent.
“After this years, and sell, from friends NamePro, I excite make good moneys!” said the seller, Zoric Francic, adding that he can now finally visit a local brothel for a night of debauchery.
Hundreds of domains remain unsold in countries that formed after the collapse of Yugoslavia; the days of Jozip Tito are remembered with nostalgia by some.
“In old day, buy farm and two mule, a cock, two chicken, a pig and a good wife for 2 dinar,” said Zoric Francic, whose father was a milk supplier to Tito in the 1970’s.
Still, with the sale of his domain – and a new world record record as the cheapest recorded sale ever – Zoric Francic will have a splendid time at a classy brothel in Skopje.
