Chicago entrepreneur and domain investor, Anthos Chrysanthou, is quiet and diminutive.
But don’t confuse his silence and stature with any lack of focus; the CEO of Emerge Media launched Translate.com four years ago, and the company’s web platform boasts 3 million members. The company is headquartered in the Greektown neighborhood of Chicago.
Translate.com has produced more than 200 million machine translations so far, and it’s now launching its enterprise grade translation tools.
Chrysanthou, who speaks Greek fluently and turned 30 last year, says that Translate.com churns out accurate translations at up to 10 times faster than some of its competitor tools, while charging very affordable rates.
Quality and accuracy is achieved by employing qualified translators, that are interviewed thoroughly for the job.
These human translators supervise and improve the machine-produced translations, assuring their accuracy.
In the end, it’s a win-win situation for the company and its customers.

Our company just purchased a translation from Mr. Chrysanthou’s website translate.com and the quality is appalling. “Qualified translators, that are interviewed thoroughly for the job” is a 100% false claim. Absurd, really. Do your correspondents follow up on such things?
Durban – You obviously need to address this issue with them, and as long as you have a valid claim, I’m sure they will take care of it to your satisfaction. We are not affiliated with their service.
From my understanding, you are a freelance translator, per https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-durban-5a30a1b
Why would your company not use your own qualified services then?
