The domain name iso.net is being offered for sale at DNForum – apparently by the same compromised account that recently attempted to sell three more valuable domains.
It seems that the thief has acquired control of the managing account at GoDaddy, using a combination of social engineering and email phishing.
Potential buyers of domains are encouraged to perform due diligence prior to sending any payment; DomainTools offers a valuable service of providing historical WHOIS data that can potentially display anomalies in the domain’s WHOIS.
