Name.com: New Promo, shame about the promo code

Got this email from Name.com – the very popular up and coming registrar:

There are only three days left in our “Name.com Loves Small Business” promotion. We are showing our appreciation for our small business customers by giving away a slew of prizes to help both you and your business. We’re also offering $8.09 .COM/.NET registrations and 15% off all hosting plans with the promo code CRUSHIT.

Nice job, Name.com. I mean, the promo and everything is ok but “Crush it” doesn’t look too good as a promo code in all caps. Hint: avoid words that end in “sh” when the next one starts with “it”.

Hah, yes it wasn’t the best move on our part. With #crushit all over Twitter, we were so used to the word we didn’t even notice until after the fact. Live and learn.
