Adam Dicker via DNForum : “The business just failed”

Adam Dicker, owner of DNForum.com, recently relaunched the aged domain community after more than 3 months of taking it offline.

Officially relaunched on June 1st, DNForum.com arrived with some functionality changes, and promises by Adam Dicker to improve the domain forum.

Late last year, Adam Dicker’s Niche Websites business became the focal point of a lengthy and often heated discussion at rival domain forum, NamePros.

Some industry professionals cut ties with Dicker, who has in the past won awards for his Niche Websites business.

In a statement on DNForum, Adam Dicker attempts to address the issues related to his business, summarizing it as such: “The business just failed.

Following questions by DNForum members, Adam Dicker’s statement is presented below:

The board is officially Back.
Some changes and features will be updated and added in the next couple of days.

For those looking for a statement from me on issues, it is much more complicated than me just writing a note.
There are many facts that have not been available on other forums and blogs.
My 2 daughters that were 13 and 15 were attacked online and all there friends on Facebook were sent messages. To me that crosses a line. Many other things happened but there is no point in getting into them

It is very easy to jump on the bandwagon and post negative comments on a website that was formed by pissed off members of DNForum.com. I was disliked there long before these issues. Many in the threads and blogs just jumped in to pile on and are people I never had any dealings with. It was never my intention to get into this industry and spend 20 years in it so that one day I could run a web design company that would be forced to close up because it was managed poorly and failed.

The bottom line is I tried to run a company and it failed, it is now closed.

I overspent and overstaffed and it killed the business.
Many in this industry and others industries have had businesses fail, I did as well.
i am not trying to act like a victim here, the business just failed.

I am sorry to anyone that feels they got the short end of the stick but businesses fail.

I have been instructed to not mix DNForum.com with personal issues, so I won’t.
DNforum.com is a tool to help people buy and sell domain names, not my personal blog.

There will be no further discussion of this on DNForum.com
If anyone has any questions they want to ask me, please feel free to email me at adam@xy.ca
If it’s not abusive, I will gladly answer what I can.

  2. Dickhead says:

Adam Dicker is Dick, how he treats others, no respect for him. Do not do business with that person ever!

  3. Kris says:

I think it is a little late for a song and a dance, or fresh start in this industry. Just to many people have been burned for it to be a one off situation. If no webpages were produced where did the money go?

I will never go back to DNF, even though it was a great place to do hassle free deals with some trust worthy people.

  4. Ted Collins says:

Is it just me or does this douche Shane sound similar to an ass hole running for president? It’s nice to make a name for yourself by talking ill of others. Make your own way douchebag.

  5. Doc says:

If Dicker was a class act…He would have sold some domains, paid people back and came out immediately with a statement…Not threaten people with lawyers letters for telling the truth. An honest business failing is one thing, draw your own conclusions

  6. Ralph says:

I am not as familiar to Dicker as others, but I reviewed his analysis of various domains, I was shocked that he
is considered a domain expert. He was too focused on website development as far as I am concerned,, and
he burned a lot of people. But his suggestions and opinions were scattershot to say the least.
