Alert: Stolen domain MLA.com might be offered for sale

In a case reminiscent of the recent multi-domain theft of four LLL .com domains, MLA.com was stolen from its legitimate owners, Michael Lee & Associates of Chicago.

The theft of MLA.com occurred in May of 2013, when the owner’s account at GoDaddy was compromised. MLA.com is currently in the possession of the thief.

Following the theft, MLA.com was moved to InternetBS, the same domain registrar that was involved – along with eNom – in the other case.

Michael Lee, owner of MLA.com faced resistance in getting any assistance from GoDaddy, even after providing them with the necessary information to prove his case. He is now involving a lawyer to pursue the case aggressively.

There are additional details about the theft of MLA.com that we cannot share publicly at this point, that match the other domain theft very closely.

If you are approached to acquire the domain MLA.com keep in mind that it is stolen and you will risk losing your money by buying stolen goods.
