Bobak Ferdowsi is a flight director for the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity mission, that successfully landed the Curiosity rover on Mars.
With less than 200 twitter followers, Bobak Ferdowsi wasn’t expecting his followship to explode but it did: more than 18,000 people now follow him.
Not only he’s now famous for his partially shaved head and “mohawk“, but he’s notably lost the opportunity to secure his full name as a dot com.
According to top WHOIS tool, DomainTools, BobakFerdowsi.com was registered today – not by Bobak – and the attempted cybersquatter parked it on Sedo.
It seems that there was a report of this particular activity, because Sedo has tagged the domain BobakFerdowsi.com as “banned” and the landing page displays the following message:
“Services for this domain have been discontinued”
It’s a shame that Bobak Ferdowsi did not secure his very personal dot com and nice to see Sedo banning this domain from its parking service.
“Took a rover to Mars but did not secure his .com” haha love this!!
Brad – Kinda sad, don’t you agree?
