How many domains did you register in one day?

After breaking the news yesterday, about Mike Mann registering 6640 domains in one day, Mike updated the number to almost 11,000 domains!

Update: Mike Mann gave the final number of domain registrations as being 13,140. Amazing.

This is a remarkable number – the cost of registering this many domains would be almost $80,000 in one go even at Registry base prices!

It’d be interesting to find out – what was your personal record of domain registrations in one day?

I'm not Mike Mann, but I've registered a personal record of:

It would be interesting to know if these pertained to a few different niches (and if so, what they were) or if they were 11k non-related domains.

If he’s making a profit with these regs, then maybe…

But this sounds like an addiction that has gotten out of control.

I can understand this to a certain extent; this industry is very addictive, but I do hope that this guy isn’t spiraling downward.

I don’t think that this is a behavior that others should emulate.

Ms Domainer – I’ve seen a lot of Mike’s sales for domains that the average domainer would respond with “reg fee”. Most of them are two word compound .coms, something that time and again has proven to be a good source of money at sales. Think about it: from reg fee to thousands of dollars. Obviously, not everyone shares Mike’s vision or else we’d be filthy rich ๐Ÿ˜€

That is crazy… He may public all domain names he had regged.

Put it this way, Not enough

I would be interested to know how many does he sell a day?

Rich – From what I’ve seen, Mike and his employers sell about $25k worth of domains on a given day.

Interested to find out what names did Mike bought?

And how/where to look up for names that just being hand reg?

  8. Steven says:

This is ridiculous amount of domain names. I wonder what were these names about. They are very long or doesn’t make much sense and could be brandable.

Here is a taste of what he registered: http://www.dailychanges.com/domainmarket.com/2012-04-18/

You can see more tomorrow by changing the 18 in the URL to 19 etc. You can NOT only look at the domains, as they were registered for a reason (I’m Sure). I didn’t do a ton of digging but just touched the surface and I have an idea into some reg’s, others I have no clue.

Several are existing businesses that simply do not have a domain! (AAAAfordablePlumbing.com for an example) AAA Affordable Plumbing in TX and CA

Several seem like common search terms but include “A” at the start “ABuffet.com” for an example.

Jamie – Thanks for the link, nice digging! ๐Ÿ˜€
