When the ICM Registry rolled out the .XXX TLD, it was very clear about the adult-oriented nature of these domains.
Without a doubt, adult content is not for everybody, either as a visitor/end-user or as a developer.
Even Frank Schilling, who invested $1.7 million dollars in several top-tier .XXX domains said that his investment is well-defined; Frank wasn’t changing to an adult provider overnight!
.XXX development is not for the weak, either.
Adult content developers have to be able to be open-minded; it’s a misconception that porn is for everyone, or that it can be done tastefully by everyone who simply peruses adult content.
The ICM Registry provides an index of developed .XXX web sites, at XXX.XXX
Yes, the URL is that memorable and easy to type, just pretend your keyboard has stuck! π
One can also list their own developed .XXX domains, so visitΒ XXX.XXX today to find out how this is achieved.
Correction…Headline should read “.XXX not for ANYbody”.
It too will soon join .mobi, .name, .tel , .aero, .museum, .museum, .coop, .cat, .travel and the new GTLDs in the ashheap of history.
Who in their right mind wants to be associated with it?
