The two letter (LL) .com domain JI.com (ji.com) has been sold via the Chinese domain brokerage firm 62.com.
Formerly owned by Future Media Architects (FMA) a decade ago, the domain changed hands according to its broker, who announced the closing of the deal:
“62.com have completed a transaction for a premium domain ji.com congratulations for the seller and buyer.
The Chinese domain brokerage’s founder announced that two other LL .com domains, di.com and hg.com, are still available.”
How much did JI.com sell for?
While two letter .com domains are extremely rare, prices have dropped substantially in recent years. Once commanding a solid seven figures, two letter .com domains have sold for prices ranging from half a million to just over a million dollars.
Whoever acquired JI.com probably paid fair market value for the domain name. Chinese domain investors find short domains extremely appealing, as each letter can represent a syllable or word with distinct meaning.
