Another week, another domain rebranding for Atom, the company previously known as Squadhelp.
Following 5 successful months as “Atom” the company is, once again, changing its name.
The new brand name, Carbon, was chosen after a close meeting that Darpan Munjal, founder and CEO, had with 5 other Atom members.
Said Mr. Munjal:
“We’re constantly evolving and using the latest and greatest technological innovations for our domain selling platform. Quantum physics is part of our core mantra here at Atom, as much as AI. It started as a joke but we kinda like it; so six atoms make one carbon, get it?”
The brand name Carbon will be in effect as soon as Atom raises enough capital to acquire the domain name Carbon.com from its registrant, Apple.
That might take a while: Unlike Andy Booth, Atom.com seller, Apple is not willing to sell the domain at a loss.
