The real Eliza Dushku, profiled.
The Bechtel Group filed a UDRP against the domain Betchel.com, on the basis of its similarity to its BECHTEL trademark.
The Respondent was listed as “Eliza Dushku“, a resident of Albania, who failed to respond to the UDRP.
At first, it appears as the famous American actress Eliza Dushku, who hails from Albania through her father, was the Respondent.
This however is not the case.
Our research shows that the UDRP against Betchel.com, which garnered no response from the Respondent and resulted in the transfer of the domain, was justified.
The WHOIS info of Betchel.com matches that of the following domains:
- AmericanCentruy.com – a typo of American Century.
- Garget.com – a typo of Target.
- ElizaDushku.com
The latter, is not the official web site of the American actress, who uses her full name: Eliza Patricia Dushku.
As ElizaDushku.com is listed on Sedo with the locale of the seller being in Ireland and not Albania, we can safely say that all these domains – including the one the UDRP was filed on – have fake WHOIS info.
