GoDaddy started sending off coupon codes for 20% off with every .XXX domain registration, but the price game is about to change.
Boston based United Domains just announced the availability of even lower pricing for .XXX registrations:
“We’ve had many inquiries from trademark attorneys and business owners about protecting their names in the .XXX extension,” said Kate Hutchinson, Marketing Manager for United Domains. “The overwhelming demand has encouraged us to offer a temporary discount to meet the needs of our customers.”
Due to the demand for these new domains, from concerned brand owners and adult site developers alike, United Domains is temporarily cutting the price of registration for .XXX to $70 for the first year–the lowest price on the market. The offer will run December 19, 2011, through December 31, 2011. Customers can receive this special discounted price by entering the code XXX70 at checkout.
Time is running out, so go register some new .XXX domains, at UnitedDomains.com!
@The “overwhelming demand” has encouraged us to offer a temporary discount to meet the needs of our customers.” LOL!
What BS, when there is demand for anything, the price goes up not down!
Always read between the lines.
Alan – Lowering prices is a well-known strategy to acquire a large customer base that will eventually (hopefully) remain after the offer expires. Not a bad idea, the base cost for .XXX domains is $60.
