GoDaddy founder, Bob Parsons, rocked the 2000’s by taking GoDaddy out of a garage business and propelling it as the #1 domain registration services provider in the world.
Bob Parsons embraced the media controversy he was painted with, including photo ops with an elephant killed at an African safari, along with overly sexualized commercials and Super Bowl ads.
After stepping down as a GoDaddy executive, Bob Parsons discovered the secret of life apparently, by using a LLL .com domain to form PXG.com, a golf club company.
PXG.com has been growing in leaps and bounds since. Last week, the billionaire Parsons traveled to Detroit to participate in the grand opening of his company’s newest retail store.
“Detroit is the eighth largest golf community in the country,” said Bob Parsons. “People love the game. Within a few miles of the store, there are 95 different golf courses.”
The PXG team was also celebrating the recent launch of the Gen 5 irons and drivers, the newest clubs by PXG.
At 71 years old, it seems that the GoDaddy founder is doing great, thanks to switching to a business with a three letter .com domain name! 🙂
