As we wrote a few days ago, Fidel Castro – the Cuban ex dictator – is preparing the launch of Cuba’s national TLD as a marketing tool against Capitalism.
Touted as “See You!” the English equivalent to “Hasta la vista!” the Cuban TLD .cu will most likely be used by social media freaks and marketing gurus, along with the usual dose of domain investors.
Meanwhile, Fidel Castro has met with Venezuelan presidente Hugo Chavez to discuss further opportunities in a joint assault against the capitalist media on the Internet.
Both Castro and Chavez are keeping a close eye on the success of .co which is very close to 400,000 domain registrations in just two weeks.
“We see this act by the hispanic blood brothers of Colombia as a true implementation of freedom and independence from the capitalist chains of .com”, said Hugo Chavez looking at the latest .co Registry figures. “With the strength of our designers and developers we will support brother Fidel in his effort to roll out the “See You!” campaign, definitely!”, he added.
The logo for the “See You!” marketing campaign has been revealed – it’s very close to the one created for the .co campaign but the color used is blood red instead of international orange.

What about CO?
CU will be at war with CO
BullS – .CO is the leading force against the capitalist regime of .com but .CU will be used for the good of the people around the world – “See You!” 😀
Too much new TLDs will bring less value for existing .co’s. The expectations from the .co introduction will become meaning less. there will be nothing called ccTLDs in near future. all become TLD’s only.
Zamaan – that’s probably what’s going to happen, unless of course The Matrix becomes a reality and we won’t be needing TLDs at all 😀 Just a blue pill.
