Domain Predictions for 2013

Time for the annual Domainer Alamanc! 😀

As long as the Mayans weren’t right and the world is spared from the December 21 holocaust, there are many wonderful things to look forward in the new year, 2013.

Here are a few predictions about domain investment! 😀

  • Rick Schwartz buys back Candy.com from its owners, that go bankrupt after the current bout of bad economy. For $100k, the Domain King triumphs again.
  • Francois Carrillo of Domaining.com starts charging for the viewing of RSS feeds of domain bloggers. By charging 10 euro a month, Francois becomes a millionaire and Le Figaro publishes an extensive interview.
  • Chef Patrick announces the six figure sale of ChefPatrick.com to a chef named Patrick. The culinary domain skyrockets in traffic; no more domain content, just recipes about delicious dishes from France.
  • The ICM Registry hands out free lap dances with every new .XXX registration, motivating thousands of domainers to register a .XXX. With lap dances costing $30 a pop, that’s a hefty 30% discount.
  • The Pope announces the creation of his own domain registry, Holy See Domains. Every domain is personally blessed by his Holiness, to ensure great business against all odds.
  • Sedo rolls out SedoCraigsList, a version of the SedoMLS that allows domain owners to sell their domains for $20 at CraigsList. After commission, domain investors will keep $10 – a full dollar above cost!
  • Rick Latona announces that he’ll be joining the buddhist monks in the Himalayas, and he vanishes into the great white mountains in pursuit of good Karma.

Many more exciting news will be announced in the days to come!
