The Weekend Australian Magazine, Australia’s top lifestyle and gossip newspaper insert for single women aged 29 – 59, has announced its much-coveted Top From Down Under awards.
Honoring the domainer and entrepreneur community, Flippa CEO Dave Slutzkin won the Top Aussie Man category, with a score of 96.5% at a readership poll.
“Crikey, it’s such an honor to be selected among thousands of Australian entrepreneurs, beating industry monoliths such as Mike Robertson, Simon Johnson and Hugh Jackman!” exclaimed the Flippa CEO.
“This is a great compliment for me personally, and all of us here at Flippa, who have been going from strength to strength”, added Slutzkin.
Flippa recently surpassed $100 million in sales, something that seemed impossible to achieve just three years ago.
By combining a smart strategy of low fees and direct jabs at eBay’s lack of security, Flippa has managed to catapult itself to the top as the #1 venue for selling domains and web sites.
“We have received some criticism about some of the listings being trademark violations, such as ‘xbox one’ domains, but these kids attempting to bypass our strict filters will soon realize resistance is futile; Microsoft will come after you in the end, not to mention that you might go to hell!” said Dave Slutzkin.
Congratulations to Dave Slutzkin for winning the Weekend Australian Magazine award, as the Top Aussie Man!
