Increased competition among domain investors has heated up further, during the full year since the pandemic began.
Hundreds, if not thousands of enterprising domainers spend extended time from home, while in the past they had to be at least 8 hours at work and another 90 minutes commuting, at a minimum. Bids were confined to the time taken for lunch, or while going number two.
These days, domain auctions receive dozens of bids and domains end up selling at a higher premium; just like with the current real estate market, domain investors willfully overpay for assets as a stepping stone to future gains.
Some use fake lawyer auction handles, or that of popular domain investors to scare off the competition, but nothing comes close to this guy who is topping the Dapa.com auction currently: GOAWAY, he says, beating his chest with gorilla-like bravado.
Let’s see if he wins the auction that ends tomorrow! 😀
Update 4/29/2021: The auction for Dapa.com closed at $16,946 dollars and GOAWAY did not win the domain. The auction’s winner is DropCatch member “contact.”
