It’s shocking seeing how a country with one of the oldest cultures in the world is still doing it in the woods.
India, with its 1.2 billion population, suffers from hygiene in the most basic of all functions: going number two.
Public defecation is so prominent in large metro areas such as New Delhi, that half of the Indian population uses places such as the sides of the railway to relieve themselves.
Trains carry 11 million Indians daily, thus making the railways the largest public toilet in the world.
Most Indians carry a cellphone, but don’t use a proper, flushable toilet.
For the record, PublicDefecation.com is available, according to Top WHOIS tool, DomainTools.
Who would be the one to register it?
Wow amazing, someone actually went ahead and registered the domain now.
Dan – That’s hilarious! 😀
More pigeon shit eh 🙂
Kate – LOL no kidding 😀
wow very nice
You overlook millions of other improvements that take place in India since the great independence from Britishers in 1947 and decided to select this problem as the basis of your present article. Problems are there in every country and on the basis of that one can register as many domain as he want.
Large part of Indian population is middle class and they all enjoy basic hygienic facilities.
Thanks
