Internyet: #Russia to unplug from the global internet

On March 11, Russia will remove itself from the global internet, it seems.

News about a March 11 transition of all Russian servers to be physically in Russia is an indication of an upcoming disconnect, or other type of block from the internet.

According to sources, the unplugging of Russia, active invader of Ukraine, indicates a full-on cyberwar will ensue.

Official sources deny that such a transition is about to happen, however.

Is the world about to split into the internet and the internyet?

Recent attempts by Ukraine to have Russia removed from the global DNS failed, after ICANN and its president, Göran Marby, refused to intervene. It seems that ICANN is not aligned with the rest of the free world.
