Monkey Pox domains just lost their window of opportunity

Monkeypox is no longer a threat

You’ve gotta strike while the iron is hot, they say; domain names that are derived from current news have a limited amount of time to remain relevant.

Monkey pox is a viral disease (zoonosis) that rose as a potential pandemic a year ago, before being renamed to mpox. At the time, we noted the availability of Mpox.com and MonkeyPox.com as domains relevant to the disease.

More than 30,000 cases were reported in the United States during the past 12 months, and cases have been declining for months globally as awareness has increased and a vaccine became available.

It seems that mpox is no longer a threat to humans, as the World Health Organization declared today the mpox outbreak is no longer a global health emergency.

This puts an end to the relevancy of MonkeyPox.com and Mpox.com, although the latter is still a LLLL .com that consists of good letters.

Hopefully, no funky new virus rises up this year!
