After years of being advertised for sale, Rams.com was hit with a UDRP last week, filed by the Los Angeles Rams LLC at the WIPO. The case is ongoing and was first spotted by Elliot Silver.
The Los Angeles Rams operate from the domain TheRams.com and hold several registered trademarks for RAMS going as far back as in 1973. Unlike the domain Cowboys.com, the NFL team appears to have never made an official offer directly.

Registered in 1995, Rams.com was acquired by Canadian domainer Adam Dicker around 2014; its previous registrants include two other domain investors, Rick Latona and Oliver Hoger.
Dicker attempted to sell Rams.com with a price tag as high as one million dollars and as low as less than half that; in the interim, he was quoted on a sports network that he owned the domain due to his love for the animal. Indeed, Adam Dicker’s past landers included a mini site about rams.
In 2022, Rams.com was acquired by another Canadian domain investor, reportedly for chump change, compared to Dicker’s former asking price. Adam Dicker’s liquidation of assets appears to have coincided with paying off debt to several people, as noted on NamePros.
It seems that through this ongoing UDRP, The Los Angeles Rams are attempting to get this aged, generic domain “for free” and it will take some solid responses by the registrant to ensure this doesn’t happen.
