The Domain King, Rick Schwartz, has made another smart domain acquisition in the aftermarket.
Known for his smart investments in domain names since the 1990s, Rick has acquired the domain SmartGadget.com.
This 1999 domain appears to have been sold by The Carr Group. The domain is already pointed at Rick Schwartz’s landing page for “joint ventures.”
There are several companies with “smart gadget” as part of their brand and this generic two letter .com domain would definitely be of interest.
While we don’t know how much Rick paid for SmartGadget.com, we’re certain he’ll make a killing when he sells it! ๐
Out of respect for Rick I won’t post the price paid, but the transaction happened publically on social media. Needless to say it was an absolute F’n steal of a price!
Rick paid $2.5k for the domain name, this week on his Twitter feed.
Itโs an interesting read as the buyer posted then tried to pull out the deal, Rick explained thatโs not how it works and the deal was done.
He also bought PussyMagnet.com from Elliot on the same day for $2.5k
Thanks for the details Robbie. Only found out from WHOIS changes. Indeed, a steal.
