It’s been a while since we reported a two letter (LL) .com domain sale, and what a great way to start the week.
The domain YK.com has been reported as sold, after changing hands from its previous owners, Tamarack Computers Ltd.
The 20 year old domain‘s apparent sale, increased the number of Chinese registrants owning LL .com domains to 148, out of a possible 676 combinations.
According to Canadian investor, George Kirikos, the domain’s sale changes Canada’s ownership of 2-letter dot-com domain names from 23 to 22.
Two letter domains sell for varying amounts in the aftermarket, from high six figures to well into the seven figure range USD.
The transition of YK.com was first noted by Jamie Zoch on Twitter.
