Naughty or Nice? Just ask developer Tia Wood

Tia Wood has a special offer this Christmas

Last night I was laying back with a glass of brandy when my phone rang. It was fellow developer and coder extraordinaire, Tia Wood.

I cleared my throat real quick and answered the phone.

“Hey girl, what’s up?” I said, setting my glass aside.

“Hi Lucius, have you been naughty or nice this year?” came the jolly voice on the other end.

I was stumped. I didn’t know what to say.

“Errr…I’ve been a bit naughty, I hope I don’t get coal for Christmas!”, I finally managed to utter.

Tia laughed and with her I laughed as well. But I was a little nervous still.

“Soooo…what made you call my humble abode, Tia?”, I asked.

“Lucius, for the naughty domainers like your kind – you know, the ones that sat on their butt selling domains and parking them instead of building real content and businesses on them, I have one naughty offer during the holidays!”

It’s true. I did all that Tia said: sat on my butt parking domains and only developed web sites for clients.

“You know that, Tia, I’m my own worst client!” I said, cracking a smile.

“Lucius. The time is now. Don’t procrastinate, I have a special offer that you need to take advantage of. No, not *that* one you dirty man you! An offer about graphics and development over at my web site but it’s only good until Christmas!”

I breathed in some air of relief and took a sip from my glass. Somehow, I thought Tia would ruin my chances of Santa bringing me gifts this Christmas. Then, I realized she was the real Santa with her development offer.

“Thanks Tia. You’re one true friend”, I said.

“You betcha! Don’t forget – the offer ends by Christmas so act now. Kisses!”

I bid Tia goodnight and visited her web site. I’ve been naughty all year and now it’s time to redeem myself. If I can’t be my own best client, I’d gladly be a talented developer’s client instead!

Happy Holidays!
