Yesterday, we posted about GoDaddy and its 11 cent domain promotion.
While it seemed too good to be true, it was a clear indication of what can be done in today’s marketing in order to engage the masses of potential clients.
It seems that Domain.com found our article insightfult and decided to seize this unique day of 11/11/11 by mentioning in a tweet:
“It’s 11-11-11! From 11:11am-1:11pm PACIFIC, use coupon Eleven11Eleven for a $1.11 Domain! One per account. At 1:11pm coupon will expire!”
So there you have it, we create the market for you! 😀

Mr. Guns Fabrice,
With your out-of-the-box ideas, you would be a fine asset for a domain name company–any company, actually. While your 11/11/11 post might have been posted in jest, it was a great marketing idea, and I actually believed it to be plausible, even with missing 100% logo.

A heads up.
Domain.com is connected with many other Registrars such as Dotster, DomainSite, etc.
There’s about 50 in all I was told.
If you ever had an account at any of them or with any Reseller in their network, you won’t be able
to use the same User Name.
When I went to create an account, it said the User Name already existed.
When I tried to log in (and then later request the Password) it said no such User Name existed.
???
That’s when I learned from a capable Rep that I would have to create a new User Name in order to sign up.
Also, domains are set for auto-renewal upon registration.
The Rep assured me you can turn auto-renewal Off (and On) in the Control Panel.
I’ve used many of their sister companies in the past and never had any problems.
