NamePros: Violent reactions stem from sudden forum software changes

NamePros members reacted violently yesterday and today, as the popular forum’s visuals and software were changed without any warning.

Reaction to NamePros changes led to violent eruptions in the streets.

Hundreds of members, mostly in their mid to late teens, turned the forum into a battlefield, with trolling threads, overturned cars, and the occasional stink bomb.

Reaction was strong, and tempers ran high.

“WTF dood, the modz changed the skinz and now it looks like that s**t DNForum, what is happening man?!” exclaimed R4DZ, a domain flipper from Chicago, who’s being home-schooled.

Forum moderators attempted to maintain order, banning the most aggressive members temporarily, and closing down threads.

“It’s ridiculous that some NamePros members don’t like change, but older members, over 25 years of age, are in agreement that the new software and design looks so much better,” said the administrator, Eric Lyon.

“Folks, what we did is for the best, and just because DNForum uses the same software doesn’t mean we are copying them, ok?” added Lyon.

DNForum users have treated NamePros as the little brother of domain forums for a long time, due to the average young age of its members, which is approximately 17 1/2.

Just a month ago, DNForum changed its underlying software, from vBulletin to XenForo; now NamePros is following in the footsteps of its older brother.

Let’s hope that the violent episodes will subside and NamePros members will return to discussing domains and acne-treating products once again.
