NYC street performer sues over Domain Name

Bobby Keith Burkin has been roaming the streets of downtown New York city for more than seventeen years; often performing at street corners to curious pedestrians.

His juggling of razor-sharp knives and live black cats high on catnip is considered so peculiar that passers-by are known to have placed large bills in his money bucket; sometimes as large as $100 dollars.

Unfortunately, all this might come to an abrupt end.

Bobby Keith found out last week that an unscrupulous cybersquatter registered this name in dot com, regularly publishing images from the homeless man’s performance.

“I could not believe it, man. More than fifteen years doing what I love the most, entertaining people and this guy steals my effort and work, ridiculous”, says a very upset Bobby Keith Burkin.

Cybersquatting is seen more often lately, as the signs of a bad economy are still intact and overpriced domains can’t sell at domain conferences. Thousands of domains are registered daily, some bearing the names of performers, actors and other celebrities such as those appearing on Dancing with the Stars, American Idol etc.

“Had no idea what the Internet is, what domains are, until I met this fine looking fella from Manhattan named Elliot Silver”, says Bobby Lee. “Elliot is a professional writer that saw my performance and he told me my name is taken on the Internet yellow pages. I have to sue now to get it back. I will kick some major asses!”, adds Bobby Keith.

Elliot’s connections will hopefully get things back in order for this talented street performer.
