With the presidential race in full swing in 2012, US president Barack Obama appears less optimistic about the results of the upcoming elections.
Having BarackObama.com as the primary portal for the president’s campaign has been determined to be a menace, according to the president’s social media experts.
“I have decided to, uh, exchange my domain name BarackObama.com for, uh, something more generic and powerful”, said Obama at a press conference at the White House.
“We will continue our mission against, uh, unemployment and social injustice, by offering everyone an email address under the new domain name, which, uh, will be revealed soon”, added the president among a roar of questions from the journalists attending the press conference.
It is unknown who will be acquiring the domain name BarackObama.com but it’s said to be a private auction among Democrat domainers, to avoid giving the domain name away to Republican cybersquatters eager to harm the Barack Obama presidential campaign by smearing his name.
The new domain name will most likely be acquired from Frank Schilling’s Name Administration as Frankie seems eager to let go of quality domains lately, for the right price.
