A rumor is making the rounds about popular domain forum, NamePros being sold to a new ownership.
The domain names NamePros.com, NamePros.us have been transferred to new registrars.
NamePros founder and long time owner, Ron James made this statement on January 1st:
Hello 2012. This is going to be a great year for the
@DomainBuyer and the domain business. I can’t wait to start buying again!
Was that in reference to an ongoing deal?
Sure enough, transfers of the two NamePros domains initiated on January 3rd. NamePros.com is now at Fabulous with WHOIS protection on.
After contacting Ron James, he responded that a new investor is being brought in as a partner to help expand the marketplace and part of the agreement includes moving the domains to new registrars. Ron stated that he’s not going anywhere.
Therefore, at this time, we can’t confirm the rumors that NamePros is under new ownership.
that is NEWS!
any figure to it,also potential new ownershhip,
After Domains – Since Ron won’t confirm it, we can’t release the additional information we have.
NamePros.com has become an absolute disaster after all the downtime due to DDOS attacks, database errors, and the like. Traffic is at an all-time low, and the moderation of the board has turned the site into a kid’s website. I wouldn’t pay $100 to own that site.
Adam – I would not buy a Maserati for $100 either. Problem is, NP’s worth is at least 1,000-fold.
I’d be happy to offer $100 for NamePros, heck, make that $500.
But I’m sure if an investor has come in the valuation must have been at least six figures.
I’m sure we’ll hear the details from RJ when the time is right.
I bought it. And I plan on breaking it into 100 pieces and selling each piece off.
Unless I meet a prostitute that is good looking and convinces me not to over 2 1/2 hours.
