Popular domain forum owner (DNForum.com) and veteran domainer, Adam Dicker, has announced the launch of a brand new domain marketplace, ShowcaseManager.com – with ZERO commission with regards to sales.
In an email, initially sent out to Exclusive members of DNForum, the new domain marketplace’s benefits are explained as follows:
Showcasemanager.com brought to you by DNFORUM.com is the only domain marketplace that offers a 0% commission rate for domain sales .
Start selling your names through ShowcaseManager.com today.
ShowcaseManager.com offers a simple low cost, effective option to sell your domains and keep all the profits for yourself. ShowcaseManager.com offers its members 2 options when listing your domains.
Exclusive members can now purchase a 1 year subscription to list your entire domain portfolio in our marketplace for an extremely low cost of $49.95 per year or a lifetime seller membership for $149.95. The regular prices for all other members will be $69.95 per year or a lifetime membership of $299.95
Whether you sell 1 domain or 100,000 domains through ShowcaseManager.com, you keep all the revenue from the domain sale.
Why pay 10, 20 or even 30% commission on your domain sales. If you sold one domain for $1000 with a 10% commission, that’s $100 less in your pocket just from that one sale!
Selling a domain on ShowcaseManager.com is as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. You can list your domain(s) on ShowcaseManager’s marketplace in just a few easy steps.
The marketplace is open to all – right now! 😀
You see–there is always a catch somewhere-have to pay the fees.
nothing is free- what a DICK!
BullS – Indeed, nothing is free but why you call him a dick? It’s pretty clear and upfront: 0% commission with an annual subscription. That feature is perfect for large volume sellers.
Isn’t this what people do on DNForum anyways? So he wants to take your money twice? Must be the expensiveness of running an online forum (sarcasm).
I’d refrain from using his sites… he lets scammers and shill bidders remain on his site even when they are brought to his attention. That’s why I stopped going on DNForum months ago and have not been back.
TLD – I don’t think that you’re being accurate or fair with regards to what Adam has been offering all these years on DNForum – the biggest domain forum for domainers on the Net.
I’ve personally witnessed *all* outed scammers taken down; as a regular contributor I am aware of the mechanics of such a process: moderators will examine all reports and if needed, will issue a ban. Adam has many times banned such scammers in person.
With regards to the marketplace, it goes beyond the boundaries of DNForum; it’s an open domain marketplace for everyone to list and sell domains. One does not need to be a member of DNForum in order to use Showcasemanager.com – but Exclusive members of DNForum receive a hefty cut in the registration fee.
The main purpose of the site is to save the 10% sedo charges, they 20% buy domains charges and so on. For those that don’t see the benefit, that’s up to you. I originally setup this site to save people thousands of dollars on commissions being paid to marketplaces just for having your for sale link to them.
If you don’t want to save the dollars you are paying in commisssions, that’s up to you.
Showcasemanager.com is already sucessful withy over 200 members without an official launch.
Bulls: Yes nothing is free, it costs money to develkop sites. You keep paying those fees and enjoy it.
This is clearly not for people that don’t make money selling domains.
TLD: We ban shill bidders when ther’s proof, if you have some please feel free to email me directly.
er…………opps…finally the E and R on the keyboard are working.
Need to clean off the white mucus stuff , get exited too easily
BullS – I must say that you’re a man of great humor 😀
@Mucius Guns—that why I am the Creative CEO of “BullS” Inc
Yes, a $495 script from smartscriptsolutions.com is quite expensive Adam…
@ Adam
I don’t need to email proof because the shill bidder admitted it to you via PM (in case you have forgotten this case). He then apologized to you for his actions (running up an auction of my domain name and purposely winning it so that no one else could buy the domain because he could not afford the price that someone else was willing to pay for the domain), and then contacting me on DNForum PM saying if the “winning bidder” (which was him) didn’t pay he’d like to make a (significantly) less offer on the domain.
The shill bidding took place on GreatDomains, and your position was that since the (admitted) shill bidding action itself did not occur on DNForum that you would not ban the member. I believe you said something to the effect of “It’s not my job to be the police over what occurs on other sites” even though the initial interest in the domain and subsequent contact did occur on your site. (You’d think that you would want to remove these types of people from your site to protect the community)
So since you knowingly allowed this shill bidders/scammer to remain I’ve been done with DNForum since then.
And now I am stepping off my soapbox.
@TLD, you are right, I cannot punish people for things that happen on other sites.
More importantly the two parties involved solved the issue between themselves and the domain was sold between the two of them.
@James, it’s not the $495 script thats important, you can go buy and configure that. It’s the partenrships that you can’t see in the background that will make this site succeed. Feel free to setup your own script and spend the $495.
With a low flat fee to sell multiple domains and paying no commissions will mean lots more in the pockets of sellers. Literally thousands of dollars a year. For pros like us that deal with potential buyers ourselves, we can even pass on some savings to the buyers. It’s a win-win.
