No need for an auction: Frank Schilling sells Boatsforsale.com for six figures!

These boats are for sale.

These boats are for sale.

Why enter a domain to an auction when you can sell direct to end-users?

That’s exactly what Frank Schilling did, with Boatsforsale.com, recently sold on Domain Name Sales – for six figures.

The exact price isn’t quoted, but the range is: between $150,000 – $250,000.

Nice! 😀

With that much cash, one can get a decent boat and sail the Cayman Islands all summer long!

Congratulations to Frank and here’s hoping that the selling amount was closer to $250,000 than $150,000 😀

Many thanks to eagle-eyed Guy from the UK for the scoop.

that’s a ridiculous price. ok… sure… if you amortize it over thirty years (a little over ten thousand days) it’s only like ten dollars a day but with the recession and all and the average boat price being under a hundred dollars i don’t see how they will ever make a profit. (this is assuming it’s some kind od a profit deal)

Many more to come with new gTLDs?
