The first Domain Bowl will remain as a cautionary tale of two cities, Seattle and Denver, as a reminder that extreme rivalry at the workplace can be disastrous.
It all started when Denver, Colorado based registrar Name.com challenged its sister company, eNom, which is based in Seattle.
Confident about the superiority of the Denver Broncos, Vic Dixon of Name.com quoted thus:
“Y’all in Seattle, are a bunch of pansies and we will crush you! That’s right baby, I can’t wait for the Super Bowl result to get high!”
Meanwhile, eNom maintained a low profile, abstaining from making any high school changing room statements.
At half-time, however, eNom upped its game, stating:
“How do you like that now, Denver? Never seen such loose defense, college kids play tougher!”
At the end of the game, Name.com conceded defeat:
“Well, damn, damn, damn! I guess we’re all going to be wearing ties at work tomorrow…”
Better luck next time, guys! 😀
