The recent sale of Accommodation.com for $286,000 dollars was not achieved overnight.
Brokering the sale, domain entrepreneur James Wester spent a considerable amount of time working with potential buyers, including the one who eventually bought the domain.
Splitting his time between Houston, Texas and Sydney, Australia, James Wester is a prime example of an international business man.
“I worked the deal for about 5 months, during which I was able to demonstrate to the buyer the value in the domain name. After I created a concept for use of the domain that would compliment any business model that they had for it, I was able to demonstrate the value; the rest was a no brainer for them. The deal was done and I contacted Andee Hill of EscrowHill.com – we got the ball rolling for the sale and it was finished smoothly.”
Asked whether he considers himself a domain broker, James Wester responded:
“I’m not really taking on any new names to broker, as that is not my core business. Currently, I’m focused on VirtualProperty.com.au, my upcoming segments on real estate news on the Sky business channel here in Australia, and launching DomainGraffiti.com with another project on the go. I currently have over 50,000 domains that I can sell, and I’m only picking names that are worth above $100k to work on. I have a couple of deals on the go at the moment for the mid xxx,xxx range.”
Regarding the sale of Accommodation.com, Andee Hill of EscrowHill.com mentioned that James Wester was very easy to work with, and that she appreciates his sense of humor.
Congratulations to the buyer and seller of this transaction, along with James Wester and Andee Hill for facilitating a perfect exchange; one of the top domain sales in 2014 so far.
Was it sold for 440k back in 2012?
