Where is the Domain King’s new #domain blog at?

Rick Schwartz circa 2007

Domainers were shocked this morning to read a new post by the Domain King, Rick Schwartz, announcing his new blog.

With this revelation, Rick took the domain investor world by storm, as he usually does.

“Domain King Announces New Blog!!” said the headline, complete with double exclamation points.

We were stumped, and weren’t alone.

Where is Rick’s new blog, pondered some domainers, while others saw that as the end of days for Rick’s current blog, RicksBlog.com.

We had to perform extensive research to locate Rick’s new blog. We searched Google, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and all the other social media that Rick removed himself from a year ago.

Nothing. Zilch. Not a clue.

That meant one thing: Rick’s new blog is actually his current one; the Domain King isn’t going anywhere.

It was simply a post from 2007, when Rick announced to a sleepy domain community that he’s starting a “new blog.” Quite often, Rick raves about the good old days of domain investing, when TRAFFIC ruled supreme and domain auctions fetched six and seven figures for every domain listed.

Don’t believe us? Read Rick’s post more carefully.

So there you have it, mystery solved. 😀

The Domain Curmudgeon craves attention almost as much as Trump does methinks.

Just checked my portfolio, DomainBlog.com is still there.

The message and focus in this press release is .com is where the action is: With all the social media problems, TLD failed launches, The one consistent element is .com. The same as 10 years ago is now even more important today. The brand retains control of the message. Does domain guy have to explain every single detail when the domain king speaks?
