Registered in 1995, the domain Hairloss.com appears to have been acquired via a merger or direct acquisition in the early 2000s.
Established in 1975, Hair Visions International is today, one of the largest and most respected global distributors of men’s & women’s hair replacement products. Our brands – On Rite, Gemtress, UltraTress, and TressAllure – offer retailers everything they need to build their business.
The mark was registered again in the past, as a text only trademark.
Why was the domain name Hairloss.com applied for as a trademark with the USPTO?
It’s an ongoing trend among owners of generic domain names, following the decision by SCOTUS on the Booking.com trademark application.
Since then, dozens of generic domain names have been applied to be registered as trademarks, inclusive of the TLD.
As of January 5th, 2021, BOOKING.COM is a registered trademark with the USPTO.
