Long before .Sexy, .Guitar and .Tattoo became active new gTLDs on the Internet, there was dot .Burger – existing on a restaurant paper towel.
Fast forward a couple of years, and Frank Schilling’s Uniregistry is about to make that sketch, a reality.
“I had this crazy idea while having dinner at my favorite restaurant in the Caymans, Ristorante Pappagallo,” said Frank Schilling, biting hard on a signature three-deck burger.
“They make the juiciest, most scrumptious burgers I’ve had in my life, and that’s when I sketched down the word that will eventually change the world!” exclaimed Schilling, downing some cold Jamaican beer.
From a sketch on a greasy paper towel over an exquisite meal, to an upcoming new gTLD with millions of fans, it’s the course of an online domain venture destined for success and fame.
“Think about it, billions around the globe love burgers, it’s the quintessential food of the Western civilization. Whether it’s beef burger, or emu burger, the moist, juicy ground meat cooked to perfection is what makes people truly happy!” said Frank Schilling.
Launching dot .Burger will take a few more weeks, to ensure that all the ingredients get prepared well.
With every dot .Burger domain there will be a standard assortment of .Onions, .Lettuce and .Bacon to choose from, along with .Mayo, .Ketchup and .Mustard; dot .FrenchFries are extra.
There’s already a dot .Beer, in case you wondered.
Can’t wait! 😀

Being a German living in Ireland I have to express my disappointment about the missing .POMMES (french fries in Germany) and .CHIPS (french fries in Ireland) TLD options. I guess I’ll have to register my .BURGER domains without the any potato-domain-sides then. I appreciate the fact that there’s no .TOMATO TLD though: Who would want a add a .TOMATO to a premium .BURGER domain name?
TLDnic – You’re in good hands at Uniregistry, free .Soda with every .Burger!
I just want this name for my House-Burger in Londrina-Brazil
It calls LONDON BURGERS, but the famous dot.com has already taken.
I need some LONDON.BURGER would be a most!!!

Daniel – I hope you liked the burger story; it was parody. 🙂
