At the beginning of the year, the buyer of the domain name PDF.ai acquired it at an auction of expired .AI domains for the sum of $610 dollars.
That sales amount seems to be a great bargain, for a popular, generic ccTLD that matches the “PDF” keyword. Indeed, the person who acquired PDF.ai just 5 months ago has already managed to flip it for a nice profit.
Developer Damon Chen acquired the domain and has developed an AI-driven service analyzing PDF files. One can literally have a conversation with the AI after uploading a PDF file, as it’s powered by ChatGPT.
Damon Chan rebranded his domain from Looseleaf.ai, presumably because Looseleaf is a registered trademark related to cannabis products. The enterprising developer ran a mini competition related to how much he spent on the domain PDF.ai.
The winner came very close to the right answer: $9,899.01 dollars with the sale taking place via Dan.com.

Congratulations to the buyer for matching his PDF ChatGPT service with a great domain, and to the seller for this amazing flip!
