When a healthcare company like Cerebrum closed down last year, it was added to a long list of failed brands that burned through cash.

Cerebrum used a controversial technique to treat head trauma; the study supporting its effectiveness cost taxpayers more than $2 million dollars.

Upon shutting down, Cerebrum had more than $3.6 million in debts listed on its filing, and the Cerebrum Health Centers of Farmers Branch owed taxpayers $197,229 dollars after an audit.

Interest is high, even for a failed business such as this: there are currently 85 bids with the high bid at $15,001 dollars. In an interesting twist, Cerebrum.com was sold for $6,307 dollars in 2007 at SnapNames, according to Namebio. The winner of that auction was Frank Schilling’s Name Administration. The domain was sold by Uniregistry to the now failed company Cerebrum in 2015, for an undisclosed amount.
