Ye, formerly known as “Kanye West,” has acquired the right-wing platform Parler.
The move by the “richest Black man in history” arrives on the heels of the artist’s lockout by Twitter and Instagram due to making antisemitic comments.
The domain name Parler.com moved to Epik DNS almost two years ago; at the time, Epik kept the window of hosting its content semi-closed. Parler.com is still registered with Epik.com.
Ye is now one step ahead of controversial multi-billionaire, Elon Musk, whose intended acquisition of Twitter has stalled for several months.
The acquisition of Parler by Ye notes in part:
Under the terms of their agreement in principle, the parties intend to enter into a definitive purchase agreement and expect to close during the fourth quarter of 2022. The terms of the proposed transaction would include ongoing technical support from Parlement and the use of private cloud services via Parlement’s private cloud and data center infrastructure. […]
The proposed acquisition will assure Parler a future role in creating an uncancelable ecosystem where all voices are welcome.

Update 12/2/2022: Ye, involved in a lengthy controversy involving his apparent admiration of nazis and Hitler, and Parler, have ended the deal.
