Not content with being an expert player of the Japanese flute known as “shakuhachi“, domain investor and popular blogger Sahar Sarid is now investing in the ultimate keyword.
“After selling Bido.com for umtillion dollars, I thought, what is life and why are we on this earth?”, says Sahar, smiling.
“The universe is infinite and we are little specks of dust, forever wandering in this infinity; only music can bridge the chaotic energy floating about in the universe. By playing the flute I have discovered the true meaning of life. “
Since moving to California, Sahar has embraced the Valley way of life that promotes inner-searching, consumption of magic mushrooms and creation of Japanese flute music – a far cry from his early playboy days.
The acquisition of Shakuhachi.com for an undisclosed amount will be the ultimate trophy.
“I can’t tell you how much money it cost but what is money anyway? What is a domain, it’s the projection of one’s inner cry for epiphany. I play the shakuhachi like an expert, having learned it from the monks of Sian Jin Trang in Japan”, adds Sahar, smiling still.
Meanwhile, rumors that Frank Schilling is learning how to play the African tam-tam were not confirmed.
Funnily enough, I used to own shakuhachi.co.uk. I sold it, but it looks like the site was never developed.
If the music thing doesn’t work out, shakuhachi is also old Japanese slang for blow job. Those always sell.
