A few days ago, we wrote how the infamous Hank Alvarez – known as “halvarez” at his heydays as a sniping domain auction participant – appeared to have fallen off the face of the earth.
His professional web site, HankAlvarez.com disappeared. Some speculated that Hank Alvarez died or that he finally went to jail for his crimes.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge, in the two years since the scandal; Hank Alvarez proclaims he’s a changed man:
“Back in the day, some domain owners frantically contacted me to give their domains back. I recall shrugging it all off, telling them that it’s a lesson they should learn to appreciate. One guy had a mild stroke after his domain was auctioned off.
But those days are gone. I am a changed man, a good two years after my actions named and shamed me in front of the entire domain community.”
