Today’s a sad day for all fans of the golden era of Hollywood – by that, we mean the 50s and 60s that produced an astonishing amount of great movies.
It’s all over the news that Tony Curtis has passed away, at the old age of 85.
The official web site, TonyCurtis.com displays an insight of the life of the great actor – who was born in Manhattan in 1925.
His real name was Bernand Schwartz and he fought poverty to become one of Hollywood’s legends.
Which brings up the question about whether Shane was being psychic in a recent post.
OK, about 50% psychic.
RIP Tony Curtis, you were loved and appreciated by billions of people.
Jesus. I would be shocked if it were the other Schwartz. Still sad news about Tony. RIP 🙁
The Persuaders!
I LOVE IT!
JJInteractive – Indeed.
Alex – That’s my favorite Curtis TV show as well. Great interaction on-screen with Roger Moore, although they weren’t doing that well in person, according to rumors.
So many great movies to mention.. one favorite is Houdini.
RIP
One of my favorites is ‘Some like it hot’.
