eBay domainer doesn’t care about his reputation

Some eBay sellers have no business ethics.

We received an email from a fellow domainer, who described his experience with an eBay domain seller.

After winning two domain auctions, the seller refused to hand over the domains after payment.

Says the auctions’ winner:

“I was looking thru the ebay listings yesterday and came across 2 from the same seller: knightlycorp. The guys was selling 2 names: narrators.com and bankloans.biz. The starting bids were $100 and $20. I was the only bidder on bankloans.biz and the 2nd on narrators.com, which I won for $111.50.”

The winner paid promptly for both domains and then received this notice from the seller:

“Sorry, these domains were listed on multiple marketplaces and they sold on another one (narrators.com and bankloans.biz). A refund has been issued to you and the domains have been delisted.”

After a bit of investigation, it seems that the seller simply did not want to sell the domains at such a low price, thus violating eBay rules.

The winner left him a justified negative feedback, but obviously that won’t stop the seller from pulling this off again. The domains are still with the seller and have not changed ownership.
