Got a press release this morning in the form of a Google alert about domains.
The claims are unbelievable!
“Motherlessgoat.com, one of the world’s largest providers of domain names, website hosting and SSL Certificates, has helped a large number of online businesses secure their online data transactions through the use of Secure Certificates. Even in a down economy, SSL Certificate sales have been rising drastically due to offering the same security levels as their competition, but at a fraction of the cost.”
A quick lookup via top WHOIS tool DomainTools shows that the domain name Motherlessgoat.com was registered on January 24, 2012. It’s only 1 month old.
Hardly enough time for a company to become “one of the world’s largest providers of domain names” etc.
Next time you read something on PR.com you might as well read The Onion. 😀
How much bullshit in a PR?
Please tell me something I don’t know !!
The reason why we show the domain is newly registered is because we recently changed our site name for branding purposes. That is why on our homepage, we mention “formally uSAVEdomains.com”.
Could you please let your readers know or at least mention that our prices on SSL’s and Domains is very affordable compared to what the competition is charging?
Thanks for your consideration.

Heidi – Good luck with the new name. It’s a very unfortunate one. Catchy yes, but not very pro sounding.
Pr is short for …… probably rubbish ~
