Worldwide Media, Inc. is a large domain portfolio holder, operated by domain investor and attorney Michael “Mike” Berkens, who operates the popular domain blog The Domains.
Mike is actively involved in the research and business development of new gTLDs, as the co-founder and Managing Director of Right of The Dot, along with Monte Cahn.
The release of hundreds of thousands of formerly reserved gTLD domains, through a 7-day “special landrush” launch, has attracted many savvy domain investors among which is Mike Berkens.
So which is the ultimate ‘joint ventures’ domain acquired by Mike’s company?
It’s none other than Joint.Ventures, naturally.
The domain was acquired on the 2nd day of the release, for a minimum of $1,199 as a premium dot .Ventures domain. Annual renewal fees for premium Donuts domains vary between $49 to $599 or more.
Will Mike’s Joint.Ventures compete against Rick Schwartz’s JointVentures.com? The latter is currently on page 3 of Google, despite the exact match keywords.
We’d like to see some real world joint ventures here, so hopefully they will launch this together. 😀
Joint.ventures vs. Jointventures.com ! It will probably be the Sekigahara Battle of domain industry in 10 years.
During the “special landrush” I was able to obtain: Home.Services…..I hope to buy everyone a drink at the next get together…..
no matter what they do they are giants in this industry and we’re just specs f dust.
