Thousands of domains registered today pay increased fees

Thousands of domain names are registered daily, but today – February 29 – is a special day that occurs every four years.

Leap year registrations on February 29th are thus problematic, as they expire one day prior to their anniversary – on February 28th of the following year.

In other words, domainers end up paying 1/365th of a registration fee more, when they register their domains on February 29th 😀

BullS – That was stupid. You just lost 2 cents, assuming a registration price of $8.
