Rick Schwartz now owns MarioMonti.com
The name of the new, interim prime minister of Italy, Mario Monti was registered in dot com years ago.
According to DomainTools, MarioMonti.com was registered in 2005 and has been a part of the BuyDomains portfolio ever since.
When Silvio Berlusconi stepped down and Mario Monti took over, the domain was still listed for sale on BuyDomains with a buy now price of $588.
As of today, the new owner is Rick Schwartz, who acknowledged jumping on the opportunity to buy the domain in a comment here on DomainGang.
It’s not yet clear what will Rick do with the domain name MarioMonti.com but it’s a definite act of borderline speculation on a public figure’s name.
