Puranjay Raja Bibek, the Indian dot .Momo millionaire was visibly dejected, after the paramount success of the rival DomainX domain conference.
Sweating and cussing, the overweight founder of Domainer Bollywood Day – a copycat conference in India that barely gathered 275 participants – refused to make any statements.
The DomainX conference was organized by the Domain Name Owners’ Association of India (DNOAi), a body representing hundreds of domainers in the second most populous nation in the world.
“The country is experiencing the emergence of local TLDs such as .co.in and .in, opening up immense opportunities. DomainX will provide a common platform to various stakeholders,” said Anshul Goyal of DNOAi.
The apparent failure of Domainer Bollywood Day was in part due to the dirty activities of Puranjay Raja Bibek, who used fake accounts of attractive females on Facebook, photoshopped billboards on Indian highways to make up for lack of advertising, and used the names of prominent Western domainers in an attempt to gather attendants.
Congratulations to DomainX for being the de facto domain conference for all Indian professionals.
